President’s Message

Advancing Knowledge, Fostering Collaboration and Improving Patient Care
As we enter this new year, our community has much to look forward to. This issue of Impact, AAAAI’s member magazine, captures the essence of what makes the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) so impactful: our shared commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering collaboration and improving patient care.

In just a few short weeks, we will convene for the 2025 AAAAI / WAO Joint Congress in San Diego, CA, USA, for a global gathering that embodies the spirit of collaboration across borders and specialties. With the theme “Climate Change and Allergic Diseases: Global Impact on Health,” this event promises to deepen our understanding of how environmental shifts are transforming our field and to inspire innovative approaches to tackling these challenges. I encourage you to explore the details of the Joint Congress in this issue and begin planning your participation in what will undoubtedly be a transformative experience.
This issue also highlights recent initiatives to expand the reach and impact of our specialty. From the Clinical Rotation Curriculum, which is shaping the next generation of allergists, to our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts, that are opening doors for underrepresented students, the AAAAI is actively building a stronger, more inclusive future for allergy and immunology.
You will also meet the newly elected members of the AAAAI Board of Directors, whose vision and dedication will guide us into the future. Their diverse expertise and passion reflect the strength of our Academy and our specialty.
Finally, we are pleased to share updates on our ongoing work to provide cutting-edge resources for members and patients alike. Whether through innovative tools, transformative education or advocacy efforts the AAAAI remains dedicated to supporting you in delivering the highest standard of care.
I hope you enjoy this issue of Impact as much as I have. Together, we continue to lead the way in advancing the field of allergy/immunology for the benefit of patients worldwide.
Sincerely,
