2023-2024 Secretary-Treasurer Frank Virant, MD, FAAAAI

Frank Virant, MD, FAAAAI, appreciates the opportunity to lead the AAAAI membership in key initiatives for the future of our specialty. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Allergy Division Chief at Seattle Children’s Hospital, in clinical practice at Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center and an investigator at Seattle Allergy & Asthma Research Institute.
“As incoming AAAAI Secretary-Treasurer, I’m looking forward to continuing in a leadership role on the AAAAI Board Executive Committee for the next four years. Over the last 35 years, I’ve been a full-time clinician at Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center, an educator including several years of serving as Associate Allergy/Immunology Program Director at the University of Washington, and a researcher at Seattle Allergy & Asthma Research Institute. My hope is to use this background to help members address several issues that threaten the survival of both independent private practices as well as our academic training programs.

I welcome hearing from our members with their key concerns, and ideas on how the AAAAI can help. Together we can advance the future of our specialty.”

I want to encourage all of our AAAAI members to become more involved and engaged, starting at the committee level. There are so many opportunities for all members, including those of us in community-based private practice. My AAAAI experience and activities have really improved my practice!"
