Meet the New Members of the AAAAI Board of Directors

The AAAAI is pleased to introduce the individuals you have elected to the Board of Directors. The Secretary-Treasurer ascends to serve as AAAAI President, and the At-Large Directors serve 4-year terms. Their terms will begin at the Business Meeting during the 2024 AAAAI Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

Carla M. Davis, MD, FAAAAI
Carla M. Davis, MD, FAAAAI, Secretary-Treasurer-Elect
"It will be an incredible honor to serve the AAAAI as Secretary-Treasurer,” said Dr. Davis. “I look forward to working with my AAAAI colleagues and other stakeholders to advance the mission of the AAAAI by improving healthcare access to allergy/immunology care for all persons in the nation."
Dr. Davis received her medical degree from Duke University. She is the Director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Food Allergy Program where she focuses on improving the quality of life for patients with allergic/immunologic diseases, most specifically food allergy.
During her career Dr. Davis has chaired multiple AAAAI committees, including the Leadership Institute Working Group, Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Slide Set Committee, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, Diversity Task Force and Division Directors Committee. She has over 100 publications and experience in both private and academic clinical care. She has also mentored more than 55 mentees.

Jordan S. Orange, MD, PhD, FAAAAI

“I am deeply honored to have been selected to serve our beloved professional organization and field,” said Dr. Orange. “After many years of engagement with the AAAAI, I have come to appreciate how volunteerism has led to the tremendous benefit of our work, science, passions and patients. I look forward to contributing further and our collective impact growing further still.”
Dr. Orange is the Reuben Carpentier Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University and Physician-in-Chief of the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. Prior to that, he served as Chief of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology and founding director of the William T. Shearer Center for Human Immunobiology at Texas Children’s Hospital.
A long-time physician-scientist, Dr. Orange’s research interests focus on the biology of natural killer cells and primary immunodeficiency diseases. He has been continuously funded by the NIH for the past 20 years. Dr. Orange has been recognized by the AAAAI with the 2005 Foundation Career Development Award and in 2019 with the AAAAI Distinguished Scientist Award.

Anju T. Peters, MD, MSCI, FAAAAI
Anju T. Peters, MD, MSCI, FAAAAI, At-Large Director-Elect
“I am very thankful and grateful to the AAAAI members for electing me to the AAAAI Board of Directors,” said Dr. Peters. “I look forward to representing the AAAAI members and working with the Board to further the AAAAI’s goals.”
Dr. Peters graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her residency training and A/I fellowship at Northwestern University, after which she joined the faculty. She continues to work for Northwestern to this day and is currently a Professor of Medicine and the Director of Clinical Research.
A clinician active in clinical research and medical education, Dr. Peters has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and is a world leader in chronic rhinosinusitis and comorbid conditions. She has also volunteered her time to the AAAAI, serving on multiple committees including as current Co-Chair of the AMPC Programming Workgroup.
Allison Ramsey, MD, FAAAAI
Allison Ramsey, MD, FAAAAI, At-Large Director-Elect
“I am honored and flattered to have been elected to serve on the AAAAI Board of Directors,” said Dr. Ramsey. “I look forward to working with other board members and allergy/immunology professionals to further our great specialty. I hope to use this position to further disseminate our impressive expertise to medical trainees and other specialties. I eagerly anticipate getting started!”
Dr. Ramsey is a physician at Rochester Regional Health and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester. She graduated from Colgate University and completed medical school, her internal medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Rochester.
She sees a full range of conditions in practice, teaches trainees and participates in a robust clinical research program. A recognized expert in drug allergy and penicillin allergy, Dr. Ramsey serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice and helps to maintain its drug allergy resource page.
