From discovery to patient care, precision medicine is transforming allergy and immunology. Be part of what’s next by joining us in Philadelphia for the 2026 AAAAI Annual Meeting!
“The Annual Meeting will bring together clinicians, researchers and thought leaders to explore the theme ‘Advancing Precision Medicine from Discovery to Patient Care,’” said Julie Wang, MD, FAAAAI, Chair of the Annual Meeting Program Committee. While the theme does not encompass every session, it does have a large impact on the year’s programming. “This year’s Presidential Plenary, for example, will highlight how artificial intelligence is transforming clinical practice—enhancing documentation accuracy, improving the patient-provider experience and reducing administrative burden—while emphasizing the importance of oversight to ensure reliability, safety and equity,” Dr. Wang said. “This complements the practice management course programming that will be incorporated into this year’s Annual Meeting, too.”
The Annual Meeting is the premier allergy and immunology event of the year, offering transformative education and groundbreaking research presentations that will help you provide optimal care to your patients. Register now to join us February 27-March 2, 2026, in historical Philadelphia!

Keynote Speaker Andrea Califano, PhD, Will Present on Reprogramming Cell Function

Andrea Califano, PhD
Andrea Califano, PhD, a pioneer in the reverse engineering of gene regulatory networks, will deliver the 2026 keynote presentation, “Targeting the Multicellular Nature of Human Disease with Network Biology,” on Saturday, February 28 at 3:30 pm.
He is the co-founder of DarwinHealth Inc, Clyde and Helen Wu Professor of Chemical and Systems Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and President of the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub New York. The Califano Lab uses a combination of computational and experimental methodologies to reconstruct the regulatory logic of human cells in a genome-wide fashion to identify master regulator proteins responsible for human disease, including cancer and neurodegenerative syndromes. This has resulted in several clinical trials, including an innovative N-of-1 study for precision cancer medicine.
During his keynote address, he will discuss mechanism-based modeling of tissue heterogeneity and plasticity at the single cell level, which has emerged as one of the key challenges to our ability to develop novel therapeutic approaches for complex, multicellular diseases. He will explain how he’s worked to develop network-based methodologies that have been experimentally validated and translated into successful clinical trials. While initially developed for cancer research, these approaches have been highly successful in diseases ranging from neurodegeneration, to diabetes, to understand pathogen-mediated host cell reprogramming and are increasingly being used to first elucidate and then reprogram key immune-related functions.

A Preview of the 2026 Plenaries

Friday’s Presidential Plenary: Generative & Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Clinical Medicine: A Paradigm Shift in Patient Care, will describe the evolution of AI in the clinical setting. Come learn how AI can improve the clinical practice experience for both the patient and the provider, decrease the burden of manual documentation and much more.
Saturday’s Plenary: Towards Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics in Immune Mediated Diseases, will highlight how novel molecules, materials and cells are advancing precision medicine, and how they may impact the future of diagnostics and therapeutics. Faculty will also address challenges to translating these discoveries into clinical practice.
Sunday’s Plenary: Trained Immunity: Promises and Possibilities for Allergic Diseases, will review the potential applications of trained immunity to manipulate the innate immune system to improve treatment of allergic diseases and formulate more effective vaccines. The session will cover the background of trained immunity, emerging concepts and how it’s being applied.
Monday’s Plenary: Multiomics in Asthma: Incredible Progress at Breakneck Speed, aims to serve as a major update to the understanding of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, microbiomics, proteomics, lipidomics and metabolomics, which are rapidly changing our understanding of asthma.

Discovery – the Must-Attend A/I Basic Science Event of 2026

Building on the success of previous years, the 3rd annual Discovery returns from February 26-28, held alongside the Annual Meeting. This year’s program focuses on “New Mechanisms of Type 2 Immunity” and will feature a dynamic mix of sessions designed to accelerate translational research.
Discovery 2026 will include a keynote address by a world-renowned immunologist, Clare Lloyd, FRSB, FMedSci, selected short talks, poster presentations and dedicated networking opportunities aimed at supporting junior investigators and fostering innovation. Discovery’s Saturday session will be open access to all Annual Meeting attendees for anyone curious about this exciting basic science event.
The 2025 event sold out, so make sure to register early if you’re interested in attending! Discovery and the 2026 AAAAI Annual Meeting have separate registration fees, but discounts are applied if you attend both.

Introducing the Practice Management Course

For the first time, we’re bringing the Practice Management Workshop to the Annual Meeting as a special one-day course. Join us for the 2026 AAAAI Practice Management Course, held on Friday, February 27.
Focused on the business side of medicine, this course is packed with valuable insights that will help you thrive in practice. The morning sessions will provide a broad overview of practice management challenges and solutions, while the afternoon session is geared towards FITs and new allergists, though anyone is able to attend.
The Practice Management Course is available both as a ticketed session in addition to Annual Meeting registration and as a standalone event. This course will take the place of the 2026 summer Practice Management Workshop, so if you’re interested in practice-focused education, make sure to register!
